Okay, so I finally started making crystals boutonnieres.
To start with, you should have
26guage Silver Wire (non-Tarnish)
8mm Blue AB Crystal Beads
6mm Bicone Crystal Beads
Scissors
Ribbon
Paper Tape
1. Start by making a plan. Like this one:
Although, I already made this plan. I decided to add to more stems on the lower part. For me, planning is important so that I would not be wasting materials like wire.
2. I started cutting out the wire for the stem. My longest stem is 8cm. So I cut out 18 to 20 cm lght of wire.
3. Insert the wire to the hole of the crystal bead. And then twist the wire as many times as you can until it has been fully twisted as pair.
You may use a drill if you have to attain a fully straightened twisted pair of wire. But since 26G is a soft wire I did not use a drill anymore.
4. Do the same for others by inserting three beads. You will have something like this.
5. Do the same with the crystal blue.
6. Hold the 10-12 stems. Then secure the end of the bundled stems with paper tape.
7. Twist the excess wires to the paper tape. You will have something like this.
9. Wrap the stem with silver ribbon.
So there you go.
Although my wedding is still months to go, I decided to make the DIY Crystal Boutonnieres ahead of time. Since I'm using a non-tarnish silver coated wire, the luster will remain until my wedding day.
